Leslie and have been going through my novel one last time making small revisions and edits. I’ve been integrating suggestions and changes put forth by family and friends who I’ve asked to read the manuscript. Yesterday we finished part one, thirty-two chapters! We’ll be starting part two today. Our timeline has been slowed recently because of family events, birthday celebrations, and a small cold that hit me at the end of last week.

We press onward and vow to make progress! I’m hoping to be finished in a week or two. Then it’s off to the copyright office and the search for an agent. One step at a time.

Well it’s official, Duke has been published! This picture of him appears in a new book called Dog Trick or Cat Treat. We think it’s very cool. He feels he should now get pampered even more though, including receiving three scoops of food a day. In fact, he’s kinda become a prima donna, barking orders and walking all over us. Wait…he did that anyway.

Because it’s a cliche to start with a welcome message, I’m going to start with a welcome message. Really, what else is there to start with? You have to have a prelude or a preface or an introduction, something. So here it is: Welcome to my new personal site.

This site has been several months in the making. Lots of thinking and planning and trying to figure out what I want to include and what I don’t. The toughest part was the design and the backend. After several designs and changing backend applications, here it is, all shiny and new and powered by WordPress.

The other problem I had in working out the details was figuring out the angle of the site. I have a lot of interests, computers, technology, web design, photography and writing, just to name a few. Narrowing down a scope for the site was difficult; I imagine it may continue to be difficult. It could be simple, or it could be complex and complicated. I guess to be a fair and representative site it’ll probably be a little of both. However, mostly it will focus on my pursuit of writing, with a smattering and a sprinkling of other stuff here and there.
